Wallen apologizes over chair throwing incident
Wallen was arrested and charged with on three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct after allegedly throwing a chair from the sixth floor of Chief's, "Eric Church's new downtown Nashville entertainment complex, nearly hitting police officers outside the venue.
"I didn't feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I've touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief's. I'm not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility," Wallen tweeted on Saturday night. "I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. Regarding my tour, there will be no change."
Wallen is in the midst of a headlining tour in the U.S. He is slated to be back in court on May 3.
Wallen, 30, has had other legal run-ins in the past. On May 24, 2020, he was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct outside of Kid Rock's club in downtown Nashville.
He used the N word and was suspended for a time by his label with radio pulling his music in 2021.
