Johnson's "Dirt Cheap" goes straight to video

Friday, June 28, 2024 – Cody Johnson released the music video for his RIAA gold certified, Top 10 hit single "Dirt Cheap" this morning with a broadcast premiere on CMT and on the Paramount Times Square Billboard in New York.

This is the fourth straight video Johnson has partnered with Dustin.

The video stars Red Steagall in the role of the farmer. Steagall is an actor, poet and performer and a long-time friend of and mentor to Johnson. Josh Phillips, who wrote "Dirt Cheap," appears as one of the contractors trying to convince the farmer to sell his farm.

"Dirt Cheap" is the second single off Johnson's "Leather" album released last fall. Johson continues the "Leather Tour" tonight with shows scheduled through December.
