Parlmalee, Martin, The Little Smokies release new discs

Friday, April 4, 2025 – North Carolina quartet Parmalee are out with "Fell in Love With a Cowgirl," their first release since 2021. Parmalee is comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas (lead vocals/guitar and drums, respectively), cousin Barry Knox (bass), and lifelong friend Josh McSwain (guitar/keyboard). "Cowgirl" is the current single from the seven-song set. This is part one of a two-part album series.

Bryan Martin dropped a 13-track album, "Years In The Making," via Average Joes Entertainment. He had a Platinum hit with "We Ride" and is out with another single, "Wolves Cry." This is the fourth album for the Logansport, La. native.

The Lil Smokies' released their final album, "Break of the Ticde," on Americana Vibes. Since their last album, "Tornillo" (2020), the band returns with two new members, bassist Jean Luc Davis and banjo player, Sam Armstrong-Zickefoose, adding to the core trio of Dobro player Andy Dunnigan, lead guitarist the Reverend Matthew Rieger and fiddler Jake Simpson. The disc contains 11 songs.
