Buddy and Julie Miller ready new CD, Robert Plant helps
Friday, September 19, 2008 – Look for a new Buddy and Julie Miller out next year. A song from the upcoming disc, Matches & Gasoline, was previewed at the Americana Music Festival & Conference Thursday.
The sexually-charged song has an edgy, brooding quality with a retro sound. T Bone Burnett produced the disc with the song having his stamp on it. Also participating in the project was Robert Plant, who sings backing vocals on the track. He apparently came aboard because Buddy Miller is a guitarist on the Plant and Alison Krauss tour.
The disc is slated to drop in March 2009 on New West Records. The Millers have recorded together before, but also released their own albums.
