Rascal Flatts leads country discs
Keith Urban chartered seventh overall with "Get Closer," selling 162,000 units. Taylor Swift went from second to ninth with "Speak Now," selling 146,000 units, down 30 percent from the previous week.
Whether you consider Kid Rock country depends upon where he would land on the charts. Kid Rock sold 189,000 units of "Born Free" in its debut week, good for sixth overall.
This proved to be a good week for album sales. For the week ending Nov. 21, sales were 8.12 million, up 29 percent compared to last week's figure (6.3 million) and up two percent from 2009's similar week (7.99 million) Year-to-date album sales are 261.78 million, down 13 compared to the same period of time last year (300.98 million).
Charts will be officially released Thursday.
