LBT cancels more shows

Wednesday, July 29, 2015 – Little Big Town announced it was canceling three weeks of shows in August due to LBT member Jimi Westbrook being put on vocal rest.

The quartet previously had postponed shows in July due to Westbrook having polyps on his vocal cord.

"It is with deep regret that we must cancel an additional three weeks of shows in August due to doctors orders for Jimi to rest and recuperate his voice," the band said on its web site. "We want to come back on the road to you guys at 110% and this additional time will make sure that happens! Thanks again for all of your support during this time, and for your love, patience, and excitement for us to come back! We can't wait to see all of you."

The band's next schedule date is Aug. 22 in Avondale, Canada with David Nail and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

After losing his voice after shows, Westbrook eventually had surgery in late June.

LBT has been riding high on the charts as "Girl Crush" held the top spot for 11 straight weeks on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

CD review - Mr. Sun Little Big Town has always been one of the more consistently good modern country groups. This latest album, not surprisingly, is also good. However, it's not exceptional. CD review - Nightfall Little Big Town gets billed as a country music vocal group, but "Nightfall" plays out more like a four-headed singer-songwriter effort. Many of these songs hearken back to some of the best '70s introspective songwriter efforts. The album opens with "Next to You," which builds from a gentle meditation, into a full-on anthemic ode to the comfort and strength of fidelity. "Questions" interestingly finds an ex asking questions via song lyrics, which she can never ...
CD review - The Breaker Anyone who missed Little Big Town's remarkable 2012 Unplugged performance on CMT should seek it out online. When they sing their monster hit "Pontoon," four hypnotic voices combine to harmonic perfection with no studio tricks - pick from any of the microphones, and it works as the song's lead vocal. But now that the group has ascended to the upper rung of stardom, different challenges arise. How do you compete with yourself fresh from a Grammy for Best Country Song ...
