The song appears on Ely 's Panhandle Rambler," which streets Sept. 18. The song will also be available Friday as an instant download for pre-sales of the album on iTunes.

Ely also released "B484," an album originally recorded in 1983 and said to be among the first records ever recorded digitally using an Apple II Computer. Ely followed that with the release of his first fictional novel, "Reverb: An Odyssey."

"Panhandle Rambler," produced by Ely, contains a dozen songs. Lloyd Maines (acoustic slide guitar), Gary Nicholson (acoustic guitar) and Joel Guzman (accordions, keyboards) appear on the disc.
