Rascal Flatts, Craig Morgan raise women's cancer awareness

Friday, September 28, 2007 – Rascal Flatts and Craig Morgan will perform on a first-of-its-kind television event "Frosted Pink" to raise awareness of women's cancers.

The artists will fly to Los Angeles next Saturday to tape the special. Rascal Flatts will perform songs from newly released album "Still Feels Good" and "Skin," their song about a young girl with cancer.

Morgan will sing "Tough," the second single from his "Little Bit of Life" CD. The song is about dealing with life when facing and beating breast cancer.

The show will feature a mix of music, figure skating and Hollywood stars to spark action against cancer as more than 250,000 women are diagnosed with women's cancers every year.

"Each of us knows someone who has been affected by cancer and hopefully this show will help bring further attention to the fight," says Gary LeVox, lead singer for Rascal Flatts. "We wish for the day that no mother, sister, wife or daughter ever have to come to terms with this disease."

The special will also feature musical performances by Olivia Newton-John, Joss Stone, Anastacia, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds and Heart plus figure skaters Katarina Witt, Nancy Kerrigan, Kristi Yamaguchi, Rena Inoue and John Baldwin, Sasha Cohen, Rosalynn Sumners, Katia Gordeeva, Oksana Baiul, Kurt Browning, Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto.

"Frosted Pink presented by sanofi-aventis and Wachovia" from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica will air nationally on ABC on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 4 p.m. eastern. The show will re-air on The Style Network on Monday, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. eastern, followed by subsequent airings throughout the remainder of the month.

However, we will be remembered, and we'd like to be remembered well. Then again, if one assumes there is no afterlife, does it really even matter? If there is no one to remember you, your legacy is basically a moot point. ...
CD review - Back to Us As summer insistently steps forward and knocks at our doorstep with bright sunny rays and promises of sun-soaked hijinks, longtime pop country superstars Rascal Flatts aim to provide the perfect soundtrack with "Back To Us." Loaded with the band's signature tight harmonies and upbeat jams built around lyrics of love and loss, Rascal Flatts doesn't move far off the beaten path while carving out a high energy declaration of summer love. Fans looking for those beach cruising jams ...
CD review - The Greatest Gift of All It's the big things - and sometimes the little things - that make Rascal Flatts' Christmas album "The Greatest Gift of All" stand out. On the macro level, the country vocal trio put a little funk - well, as much funk as three Nashville guys can muster - into "Go Tell It on The Mountain." And then, the cool little bass line introducing "Let It Snow" helps differentiate this act's version from possibly millions of other versions. Much of "The ...
