Warner signs Beathard

Tuesday, January 15, 2019 – Tucker Beathard, who had a hit with "Rock On" in 2016, but never released a CD, has a new home - Warner Nashville.

Beathard inked the contract following the independent release of the first installment of his debut double album, "Nobody's Everything," on Nov. 30 on his own label, Mother Tucker. Beathard had been on Big Machine.

Beathard already released the first part of the double. The second chapter will be released in soon on Warner Music Nashville, although no date was given.

"It was really important to me during this album-making process, that I didn't immediately rush into signing a record deal," said Beathard. "With everything I've learned during this journey, I wanted to be sure whenever I add a new layer into the fold it's the right fit and that it's always about the music. The first time I met with the team at Warner, I knew they were the right ones to help get more of my music out into the world."

Beathard, whose father is a songwriter and brother is a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, had been on Dot, an imprint of Big Machine. He went to number two with "Rock On." He released an EP, "Fight Like Hell," in 2016. A full-length debut album, Dear Someone, was announced for 2017, but it was never released. Beathard and Big Machine split last year.

"King" acts as a tribute as the album bears Clay's middle name. Beathard co-wrote and produced all 13 songs. Sonically, most of the album features his signature hard rocking sound. ...
CD review - Fight Like Hell Not to put too much pressure on the kid, but Tucker Beathard's dad is Casey Beathard, one of Nashville's most respected songwriters. Although his single "Rock On" - which speaks to a guy's regret over not taking Beyoncé's advice to "put a ring on it" - rocks as hard as many of those songs his dad co-wrote with Eric Church, it also suggests Beathard has inherited some of his old man's skill at clever wordplay. Football also runs in ...
