Larry the Cable Guy, Josh Turner, Levon Helm lead new releases

Tuesday, October 30, 2007 – A comedian and traditional country singer lead the list of releases this week. Larry the Cable Guy gets in the holiday spirit with "Christmas Time in Larryland" (Jack/Warner). Larry, who has enjoyed great success in recent years, recorded the release in the studio.

Josh Turner first received acclaim for the somewhat controversial "Long Black Train." The deep voiced South Carolinian returns with "Everything Is Fine," (MCA Nashville), his fourth album overall and second this year. The first single is "Firecracker," the fastest rising single of Turner's career. Frank Rogers, who also produces Brad Paisley, produced Turner. He has enjoyed much success with his first two albums.

Former member of The Band Levon Helm releases his first solo disc in more than 25 years with "Dirt Farmer" (Vanguard).

The Texas Sapphires - Texas honky tonk band The Texas Sapphires release a set of live originals and covers., "Roadhouse Gems" (Stag). Most of the 19 songs from the sextet were recorded at the Jon T. Floore Country Store in Helotes, Texas.
