Young, Gill/Franklin, Zimmerman, King Calaway release new albums
Vince Gill and pedal steel great Paul Franklin joined forces for "Sweet Memories: The Music Of Ray Price & The Cherokee Cowboys." Among the songs are One More Time," written by Mel Tillis; "The Same Two Lips" by Marty Robbins, "Weary Blues from Waitin'" by Hank Williams Sr. and "Healing Hands Of Time" composed by Willie Nelson.
Bailey Zimmerman, who made a mark with his debut, "Religiously," has a surprise release: "Religiously. The Acoustic Sessions." The EP contains five stripped-down tracks from his full-length project. The original disc came out in May and contains the 2x-Platinum single "Fall in Love" and "Rock and a Hard Place." The acoustic release contains the title track, "You Don't Want That Smoke," "Warzone," Chase Her" and "Fadeaway."
Four years after arriving with their debut project "Rivers," Stoney Creek Records' King Calaway releases its 16-track sophomore album "Tennessee's Waiting." With seven of the tracks produced by Zac Brown, and featuring collaborations with Marcus King, ACM winner Hailey Whitters and Brown on the previously released track, "When I Get Home," the band combines blues, rock and country influences.
