Moroney gets expansive; Smith tries avoiding soph slump
Fresh off the massive success of his debut release, Nate Smith returns with his sophomore album, "California Gold." The 16-track album features Smith's RIAA certified platinum number one hit "Bulletproof" as well as the power ballad, "Can You Die From A Broken Heart" with Avril Lavigne and high energy EDM leaning "I Like It" with Alesso. Largely produced by frequent collaborator Lindsay Rimes, "California Gold" features songwriting from Smith, Rimes, Ashley Gorley, Taylor Phillips, Thomas Archer, Ryan Hurd, Brett Tyler and Hunter Phelps and among others.
Little Big Town is out with their first holiday offering, "The Christmas Record." The release contains 11 songs, including five originals. Among the songs are "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and "If We Make It Through December," a Merle Haggard cut.
Conner Smith dropped the five-song EP, "The Storyteller." Smith helped write all five songs, including one solo. He wrote three of the songs with Flatland Cavalry's Cleto Cordero, who contributed vocals on "Rollin' Down the Highway."
Tucker Wetmore makes his formal introduction today with his debut EP "Waves on a Sunset," Featuring eight tracks, five of which were co-written by Wetmore, "Waves on a Sunset" was named after the singer-songwriter's favorite line 'waves on a sunset' from his life-changing single "Wind Up Missin' You." The EP features four previously released songs and four new tracks, including "You, Honey," "Break First," "When I Ain't Lookin'" and "Mister Miss Her," showcasing the three sides of his current life: the heartbreaker, the heartbroken and the head-over-heels romantic.
