Thompson Square reach the top
Billy Currington has been number one the Billboard country song chart with Let Me Down Easy.
"We have dreamed of this moment for many years," said Keifer Thompson. "We are so thankful to country radio and our fans for their support. We have an amazing team behind us at Stoney Creek Records, and their hard work has made a dream come true. It's a pretty awesome feeling."
Shawna said adds, "This is really surreal for Keifer and I. We are so thankful Benny Brown believed in us and gave us a record deal. We will forever relish this memory."
Penned by David Lee Murphy and Jim Collins, the song is now number one on both MediaBase and Billboard charts this week, as well as on Country Aircheck Activator, R&R Indicator and has been at the top for three weeks on the Music Row chart. The R.I.A.A. Certified Gold single has sold more than 750,000 digital singles holding the number one position for two weeks on the Digital Soundscan chart, as well as number one on the iTunes Top Country charts. Equally impressive, the country ringtone has reached the number one spot on the Ringscan chart.
