Josh Turner releases live CD
Wednesday, July 4, 2007 – Josh Turner went "Live at the Ryman" as the CD was released tuesday by Cracker Barrel. The live set was culled from an April 19 concert at the Ryman in April. Turner has enjoyed a lot of success with his first two albums, going platinum and double platinum.
The single disc includes his first hit, "Long Black Train," "What It Ain't" and a cover of "He Stopped Loving Her Today." While including songs from "Long Black Train" and "Your Man," the new release does not include such hits as "Me And God" and "Would You Go With Me" from the second release.
Frank Rogers, who has previously produced Turner along with Brad Paisley and Richard Barrow, produced the live CD.
The disc is only available at Cracker Barrel retail stores and on line. Turner normally records for Universal, which worked out an agreement with Cracker Barrel to release the CD.
Turner's CD was the only major country or bluegrass CD released Tuesday.
