Old Dominion signs deal

Thursday, February 26, 2015 – Country rock band Old Dominion signed with RCA Nashville, it was announced today.

The signing came several months after the veteran group released its self-titled debut EP, which includes the single " Break Up With Him."

"We couldn't be more excited to join the RCA Nashville family," said front man Matt Ramsey. "As a band, we are eager to start our next chapter and are grateful for the opportunity to do that with the support of an amazing promotion and marketing team in RCA."

Old Dominion also includes Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Geoff Sprung and Brad Tursi. Songs penned by band members have been cut by Chesney, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, The Band Perry and Chris Young.

The band will be on Kenny Chesney's The Big Revival stadium tour this summer.

"Break Up With Him," a love song that that mixes rock, country and blues with a bit of hip-hop was number one on SiriusXM's "The Highway Hot 45 Countdown" for six weeks.

"There has been a very loud buzz about Old Dominion around the Sony Music Nashville offices for some time now; so much that the three imprints were all fighting for the chance to work with the band," sais Sony Nashville CEO, Gary Overton. "I am pleased to announce the signing of Old Dominion to RCA Records Nashville."

Old Dominion also plans to record and release new music in 2015.

CD review - Old Dominion Old Dominion has gained a following on the heels of two albums of lively material. Their self-titled third release stays the course and delivers a dozen radio-friendly songs. The hyper positive lead single "Make it Sweet" sets the stage with an ode to the brighter side of everything. CD review - Happy Endings Right off the bat, the title of Old Dominion's album "Happy Endings" is far better than "Meat and Candy," its prior effort. ("Meat" in an album title? Really?)
