Lukas Nelson announces headline tour

Tuesday, August 22, 2023 – Lukas Nelson and his longtime band, POTR, will embark on a headline tour this fall including shows at Austin's ACL Live at the Moody Theatre and Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.

Tickets for the new shows go on-sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

Additionally, the official music video for "All For Winds," a song from Nelson's new album, "Sticks and Stones," is debuting today. Created by his brother, Micah Nelson, the video is filled with illustrations that pay tribute to the beauty and nature of Maui, where Nelson spends much of his time.

Self-produced by Nelson and POTR, "Sticks and Stones" was released last month on 6ACE Records/Thirty Tigers and is currently top 5 on the Americana Albums charts.

Since his debut over a decade ago, Texas and Hawaii-based Nelson has released seven studio albums.

CD reviews for Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real

CD review - Sticks and Stones Is the fact that Lukas Nelson has a famous father (Willie Nelson) a blessing or a curse? One might well wonder if this is somehow the case because he deserves so much more attention than he gets. Listening to "Sticks and Stones" offers plenty of new evidence that Lukas inherited great songwriting skills from his dad. It's one of his best efforts to date, too. The title track is a rather serious response to any and all that might judge Nelson and attempt to hurt him with mere words. ...
CD review - A Few Stars Apart With songs written during lockdown and recorded during the worldwide pandemic, much of Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real's "A Few Stars Apart" deals with human connections and survival. The vocal resemblance of frontman Nelson to his father, Willie, is inescapable on many tracks, particularly with the opening "We'll Be Alright," which projects optimism in troubled times ("And we can hold on/Through struggle and strife/Despite all the darkness/We'll be alright"). ...
